A former member of the Belleville Senators has signed the largest contract in Ottawa Senators history.
The NHL’s Senators announced Tuesday that forward Drake Batherson has signed a new 8-year contract worth $86 million.
The deal carries an average annual value of $10.75 million per season, and the extension keeps Batherson under contract with the Senators until at least 2034-35.
Batherson is coming off a 2025-25 season in Ottawa where he scored 33 goals and recorded 38 assists for a total of 71 points in 79 games.
During his two seasons with the Belleville Senators from 2018 to 2020, Batherson accumulated 38 goals and 78 assists with the AHL squad.
He is tied for 6th all-time in Belleville Senators history in points.
