Lennox and Addington County OPP charged two people with impaired driving and multiple other criminal charges on Labour Day.
On Monday, just before 3:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members received a 911 call regarding a dispute at a residence in Tyendinaga Township.
Police say they located an involved vehicle that had left the scene and, following a police investigation, the driver was arrested.
A 20-year-old from Roslin, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
- Forcible confinement
- Mischief over $5000
- Dangerous driving
- Novice driver – BAC above zero
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on October 20, 2026.
Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.
Also on Monday September 7, 2026, just after 11:00 a.m., L&A County OPP members received another 911 call regarding a dispute at a residence in Deseronto.
Police located the involved vehicle in the city of Kingston and, following a police investigation, the driver was arrested.
A 26-year-old from Belleville, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
- Assault – spousal
- Mischief
- Operation while prohibited
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on October 20, 2026.
Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.
