UPDATE: The Ontario Fire Marshall is attending the scene and updates are anticipated later in the day Tuesday
It was a busy morning for Belleville firefighters, battling a blaze at a home on Moira Street West.
Firefighters first received the call at 5 a.m. and arrived to find a row house in the 100 block of the street fully ablaze. One person had already escaped from the fire, and firefighters were able to locate two more victims and get them safely out of the building. The victims were all taken to Belleville General Hospital, but no details have been released about their condition.
Moira Street West between Coleman st. and Cedar st. was previously closed to traffic while firefighters worked, but has since re-opened.
