The City of Quinte West raised a flag this week for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Advocate Evelyn Wilson lost her daughter Katie to bone cancer in 2011, at the age of 15.
“Awareness will bring funds. When more people are aware of the fact that childhood cancer only receives between 4 and 7% of research funding, people are quite shocked that it’s that low.”
