Five new community roads are now open on the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
On Friday August 28 there was an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Homeland Drive .
Members of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte and local dignitaries gathered to mark the opening of Orchard, Whitetail, and Muskrat Lane, alongside extensions to Hickory Lane and Homeland Drive. Officials say the newly paved routes will give residents more opportunities to build homes across the territory.
The infrastructure expansion will also help improve community connectivity to the local water service system.
