Prince Edward County OPP have charged a driver after a traffic stop for speeding on Highway 62 resulted in an impaired driving-related charge.
On Friday, shortly before 10:30 p.m., OPP stopped a vehicle after it was spotted going above 40km/h over the speed limit on Highway 62, in Prince Edward County.
During the investigation, police say that the driver displayed signs of impairment and was arrested.
As a result, Jonathan Wilcox, age 30 of Picton, was charged with Failure or refusal to comply with a demand
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on October 7, 2026.
