Belleville Fire & Rescue is on the scene of a garage fire in the 100 block of Montgomery Boulevard this Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters received a call of the blaze at around 1:32 p.m.
The garage was fully involved with two homes as close exposures.
Belleville Fire says a rapid attack was conducted which brought the blaze under control in minutes and prevented any damage to either home.
Elderly residents of one home were evacuated for precaution.
No injuries are being reported.
Fire prevention is on scene to determine a cause, and firefighters are completing overhaul looking for hot spots.
