Ontario has announced it is investing $3.3 million in Ontario Truss & Wall located in Foxboro.
The announcement was made at the company’s facility on Monday.
Ontario Truss & Wall manufactures and resells wood building products that are used in residential, commercial and agricultural construction.
As part of the announcement, Associate Minister of Forestry and Forest Products Kevin Holland says that the funding will be used as part of a multi-million dollar expansion project.
“Our funding for this more-than-$11-million project will help Ontario Truss & Wall create 13 new jobs, retain 50 existing jobs, and project an additional 100 indirect jobs supported by the company’s operations. Those are powerful numbers,” Minister Holland said in his announcement.
“We’re empowering this successful business to continue building this region as it has for over 40 years.”

The company has been in operation in Foxboro since 1982.
Holland described the expansion project.
“Our investment will support installing advanced technology in expanding this facility by 20,000 square feet, helping Ontario Truss & Wall boost production by 67%, enabling higher quality, lower cost manufacturing that will expand the company’s market reach and deliver more forest products to growing communities.” Holland explained.
Money will be coming from the provincial government’s Forest Sector Investment and Innovation Program.
According to a release, the province says that close to $98 million in funding has been approved under the program, which also includes the province claiming it secured an added $540 million in external investments that they say reinforce forest sector productivity.
