An online media company has chosen Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital new hospital project as one of 200 World Changing Ideas for this year.
The business, known as Fast Company, has given the hospital build its General Excellence Award.
Reasons for the honour include setting a new benchmark for sustainable healthcare infrastructure with it’s timber structure, geothermal energy systems, public gardens and green roofs.
The project is also seen as a great example of various organizations and the community working together to make the new hospital a reality.
