Quinte West Fire and Rescue continued to be busy after responding to a house fire in Trenton on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to the all-encompassing blaze at around 4:30 p.m.
Twenty-one firefighters were on scene to battle the fire.
Smoke travelled far enough that it set off smoke detectors at a high-rise building at 25 Ontario Street.
Along with firefighters, Hydro One and EMS attended the scene.
One person was examined at the scene but hospitalization was not required.
Quinte West Fire Chief John Whelan tells Quinte News that estimated damage is $300,000.
