A totally reworked plan for waterfront property near Belleville’s Ramada Inn will be up for a decision by the city’s Planning Advisory Committee Tuesday.
The land in question is between the hotel and Crate Marina and original development plans called for 3-15 storey condominium towers with commercial space to be built on it.
However, that was 12 years ago and now developers hope to build a total of 213 residential units with most of them being townhouses, along with a low-rise and a mid-rise multi-unit building.
City staff is recommending the committee recommend council approve the developer’s rezoning application to allow the project to proceed.
The planning meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and will be livestreamed.
