A fundraiser for a movie to be filmed in the Quinte region later this year will be held April 10 at Maranatha Church (100 College Street West, Belleville).
Belleville local Sarita Van Dyke is partnering with a team of experienced filmmakers and industry talent to produce a feature-length comedy film, Comedy Tour – The Movie.
Production is planned for August 2026.
The mockumentary-style film follows a group of stand up comedians mentoring unlikely amateur comics in a competition with some unexpected twists.
To support the film’s production budget, Victory Films Inc., is hosting a live stand-up comedy fundraiser featuring one of the stars of the film, Leland Klassen.
The fundraiser is called Make a Mockumentary Comedy Show and will also feature the film makers talking about the project.
Tickets are $25.
VIP tickets are $100.
