Despite outshooting Uxbridge, the Frankford Huskies lost game one of the East Conference final 5-2 last night.
The Huskies had 40 shots on net while the Bruins had 33.
Deke Osterhout and Rheydan McCoy scored for Frankford.
Game 2 is in Uxbridge at 7:45 Tuesday night.
SENIOR’S HOCKEY
It was a great run but the Tweed Oil Kings came up short in the deciding game five for the Northern Premier Hockey League’s Sentinel Cup.
Playing in front of a home crowd of 800 the Manotick Mariners defeated Tweed 7-2 last night.
The Mariners outshot the Oil Kings 42 to 27 in a rough game that featured 34 penalties.
Isaac Brown and Jakob Brahaney scored for Tweed.
