A cause has been released following a blaze in Batawa early yesterday (Tuesday).
A witness reported flames coming from a home on Fraser Drive in Batawa.
The witness says around two a.m. he discovered a woman and several children outside in front of the home, with a man inside trying to use a garden hose to extinguish the blaze.
Damage estimated at half a million dollars.
Improper disposal of cigarettes is to blame.
