There was a fire in Quinte West Tuesday morning.
Flames were spotted coming from 95 Fraser Drive in Batawa, with the blaze beginning in the garage and spreading into the remainder of the home.
Quinte West Fire, the OPP, Hastings Quinte Paramedics, Victims Services, and Hydro One all responded.
A witness says around 2:00 a.m., he discovered a woman and several children out front of the home, with a man inside trying to use a garden hose to extinguish the blaze.
The man was able to get out safely.
The cause of the fire is not known, no damage estimate is known, and an investigation is underway.
