Quinte West OPP have laid a number of charges after a collision in Trenton.
Police responded at around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday to a collision on Marmora Street resulting in the arrest of a driver for being impaired.
During the investigation, the same driver and their passenger were charged with the following offences:
Twenty-nine-year-old Andrea Pelrine of Trent Hills was charged with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Dangerous operation
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Fail to comply with probation order
Thirty-eight-year-old Perry Douglas from Quinte West, was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
The accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
