Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement calling for a wintry mix of snow and ice pellets in the Quinte region beginning Friday morning.
According to the weather agency, there could be two to five centimetres of snow or ice pellets to fall throughout the day.
Freezing rain is also possible.
Roads and walkways may be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow or ice pellets.
