One driver has been arrested after a RIDE program was conducted by Prince Edward County OPP.
Officers were conducting a RIDE program on Highway 62 and County Road 3 at around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
The program led to a driver being arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.
Twenty-six-year-old Ethan Turcotte of Trenton has been charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Fail to stop for police
- Drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on Wednesday March 25, 2026.
Their driver’s licence was also suspended for a period of 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.
