A civilian member of the Belleville Police Service has been nominated for a Police Services Hero of the Year award.
Dispatcher Lindsay Rhodes was nominated for the On-Duty Difference Maker Award.
In the nomination she is described as professional and meticulous, while also being kind with a good sense of humour.
In the past Rhodes has received a Chief’s Commendation for exceptional work during high-stress incidents such as homicides.
She also supports Loyalist College students hoping to join emergency service communications teams.
