The Tyendinaga Township Landowners Coalition is preparing to hold a public meeting about the proposed Alto high-speed rail line.
The meeting is set to be held on Sunday, March 8 at noon at St. Charles Borromeo Parish Hall in the hamlet of Read.
In a press release, the coalition says they have concerns about the impact the high-speed rail project could have on the community, and are advocating for clear communication, more consultation, and planning that involves minimizing impact or using less disruptive alternatives.
The event will feature guest speakers, a petition from the office of MP Scott Reid, and help for residents in navigating the Alto interactive map and survey.
