Belleville has opened a second round of applications for tourism grants.
The tourism funding stream supports programs that draw visitors from outside the City of Belleville, promote new spending and overnight stays in the city, and meet current tourism market demand.
The first funding stream is for not-for-profit organizations for initiatives that attract visitors, generate overnight stays and promote new spending in the city. They are eligible for grants up to $10,000 and/or municipal resources such as facility rentals or equipment.
Belleville council also approved the creation of an additional stream for Tourism Grant applicants that extends eligibility beyond not-for-profit organizations. Under this new stream, eligible applicants may apply for funding up to $10,000, however, funding under this stream will not be eligible to access in-kind municipal services.
Applications will remain open until 4:30 p.m. on April 30.
