Several festivals in the region have been recognized as some of the best in Ontario last year.
This week, Festivals and Events Ontario announced its 2026 100 top Festivals and Events.
Making the top 100 were Quinte West Presents Medieval Madness, Tweed and Company Theatre Season, Brighton Applefest, Westben Summer Festival and Peterborough Music Festival.
Festivals and Events Ontario honours community festivals to internationally-recognized events from across the province annually that excel within the industry.
The 2026 Top 100 Awards were handed out last week at the organization’s annual conference in Kitchener.
