Belleville Police have confirmed the death of a pedestrian struck by a train in Belleville.
The incident occurred in the area of South John and St. Paul streets around 7:50 a.m. Monday morning.
The stopped train was originally blocking crossings from Haig Road to South Front Street as police investigated.
The train has since been moved, and traffic resumed normally.
