If you know a local police officer you believe should be recognized for a job well done, now is the time to nominate that person for a Police Services Hero of the Year Award.
Organized by the Police Association of Ontario, officers or police service civilians are recognized for their outstanding efforts in one of five categories.
In 2023, Constable Kyle Dodds of the Belleville Police Service won the Extra Mile Award for showing an extraordinary act of kindness or bravery while off the job.
