Northumberland OPP are investigating a death in Port Hope.
Officers were called to a residence in the area of County Road 65 and 7th Line around 5 a.m. on Thursday where one person was located deceased.
Preliminary information suggests this was an isolated incident, with no signs of a broader threat.
Police continue to investigate and are actively monitoring the situation.
Residents in the area can expect to see an increased police presence as officers continue the investigation.
