Northumberland OPP are investigating a threat to a secondary school in Brighton.
Just before 9 a.m. on Thursday, officers received information regarding a potential threat to the safety of the school.
In a release, police confirmed that the individual associated with the report was not present at the school, and a hold and secure was not required.
OPP are advising that there is no immediate risk to the safety of students or staff.
Police have identified the individual, and the OPP Crime Unit has been engaged to assist with the ongoing investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police say the updates will be provided as they become available.
OPP are saying that no additional information can be released at this time.
