The City of Quinte West has announced that it has reached a collective agreement with the union representing the city’s 32 crossing guards.
Quinte West and Local 799.1 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) have reached a three-year collective agreement after completing the collective bargaining process.
The deal was ratified by CUPE 799.1 members on February 7, 2026.
Details of the three-year agreement include an average wage increase of 2.8% and an increase to the annual clothing allowance.
