Two drivers are being treated for serious injuries following a head-on collision in Scugog.
On Monday at approximately 5:00 p.m., Durham Regional Police responded to a collision in the area of Lake Ridge Road and Blue Mountain Road.
A Ford hatchback was travelling south on Lake Ridge Road when it collided head on with a Nissan SUV travelling north.
Both drivers suffered serious injuries and had to be extricated from their vehicles.
One driver was airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he remains in stable condition.
The other driver was transported to a local-area hospital.
Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation.
The roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
This collision is still under investigation.
