Belleville City Council approved a resolution from the City of Kingston requesting advocacy to the province of Ontario for prioritization and funding for the Kingston Health Sciences Centre Redevelopment Project.
As part of the resolution, Kingston council requested that supporting municipalities write a motion of
support to be sent to provincial and local officials urging immediate advancement of the KHSC rebuild in the provincial capital plan.
These would include Premier Doug Ford, Minister of Health Sylvia Jones, Minister of Infrastructure Kinga
Surma, Deputy Minsiter of Health Deborah Richardson, Ontario Secretary of the Cabinet Michelle E. DiEmanuele, MPP of Kingston and the Islands Ted Hsu, MPP of Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston John Jordan, Hastings-Lennox and Addington MPP Ric Bresee, and Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark.
