Thanks to a grant from TD Bank Group (TD), Resolve Counselling Services Canada (RCSC) is expanding its Financial Wellness Program to help more individuals and families in Kingston build healthier financial futures.
The Financial Wellness Program provides free and low-cost financial education and counselling from certified financial counsellors in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
Through workshops, one-on-one sessions, and personalized coaching, participants learn to take control of their money, reduce stress, and plan with confidence.
“January is when many people take a hard look at their finances,” said Stafford Murphy, executive director of Resolve Counselling Services Canada. “With TD’s support, we can expand access to financial counselling and education for those who need it most. This funding will have a real and
lasting impact on our community.”
The program includes:
• Financial literacy workshops on budgeting, debt, credit, and savings
• Personalized financial assessments to identify challenges and set goals
• One-on-one money coaching to create practical financial plans
“At TD, we recognize the importance of financial literacy in helping people feel more confident about their future,” said Michelle Wilson, district vice president, TD. “We’re proud to support Resolve Counselling in delivering accessible programs that make a meaningful difference.”
“Money stress is one of the leading causes of anxiety for Canadians,” added Jeri Bittorf, Financial Wellness Coordinator at Resolve. “The good news is that small, consistent steps can make a big difference — and our program helps people take those first steps.”
Individuals can book a free 20-minute financial consultation to explore which program or service best fits their needs.
