One male has been injured after police were called to a house fire in Ajax.
On December 11, 2025 at approximately 6:10 a.m., Durham Regional Police responded to a residential house fire on Angier Crescent. Officers arrived on scene and observed smoke coming from a residence. Ajax Fire was on scene and extinguished the fire. An adult male was transported to a local area hospital where he remains with serious injuries.
The Ontario Fire Marshal will be conducting an investigation.
The premise has been deemed unsafe and as a result, an in-depth search has not yet been completed. Once the premise has been deemed safe, a thorough search will be completed.
