A powerplay goal in the third period helped secure the lead and the victory for the Wellington Dukes.
They were able to beat the Newmarket Hurricanes at home, 3-2.
The goal was scored by Cole Ellis for his fifth of the season.
Goalie Colby Booth-Housego contributed in net with a 45-save performance.
Sacha Trudel had a multi-point night scoring the game’s first goal and getting an assist on the Duke’s second goal of the game.
The Dukes will next go on the road for a 12:30 matinee game to take on the Cobourg Cougars on Sunday.
