A Corbyville resident was charged with impaired driving following a single-vehicle accident in the Peterborough area.
On Wednesday, just prior to 6 p.m., Peterborough County OPP responded to Yankee Line in Selwyn Township where a single vehicle had left the roadway and gone into the ditch.
Officers arrived on scene where efforts were being made to remove the vehicle from the ditch.
Officers spoke with the driver and determined him to be impaired.
The driver was arrested and transported to the Peterborough County OPP detachment for further tests.
Branden Tebworth, age 37 of Corbyville was arrested and charged with;
• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
• Failure or refusal to comply with demand
• Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
• Driving while under suspension
The accused is scheduled to appear in a Peterborough Court on January 20.
The accused had his driver’s licence further suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for seven days.
