Belleville police have charged a 43-year-old Belleville man after a report of a break and enter at a business in the downtown area.
Police were called to the business around 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday.
When officers arrived, staff reported that the door to the business was found unlocked when they arrived that morning.
They also spotted that the interior had been ransacked and that personal property was inside.
During the investigation, officers located a male inside the business.
Forty-three-year-old Andrew Borchert of no fixed address has been arrested and charged with the following:
- Break and enter
- Mischief under $5000
- Fail to comply with a probation order
He was held for a bail hearing.
