A 17-year-old Belleville boy has been charged with stunt driving after a vehicle was caught going 138 km/h in a 60km/h zone.
Belleville police were conducting speed enforcement in the city’s east end on Tuesday at around 8:47 a.m. when they stopped the vehicle.
Officers spoke with the male driver and, during the investigation, seized cannabis from his pocket as well as brass knuckles.
The 17-year-old from Belleville was arrested and charged with the following:
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Stunt driving under the HTA
- Possess more than one license under the HTA
- Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available under the CC
He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in February.
