Belleville council approved creating a bylaw that would see the increasing of some of the fees the city charges for its services and facilities at its meeting on Monday.
Staff presented council with its recommendations for the city’s fees and charges.
These included increased fees for some applications to the Engineering and Development Department, increased parking meter charges and numerous increases to fees for recreation programs and facilities, many of them found in the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.
On top of that, there were new fees for facility and equipment rentals.

The completed by-law would be brought to council for future approval.
