The Haliburton County Huskies defeated the Wellington Dukes 5 to 1 on Friday night.
Evan Erwin scored the only goal for the Dukes.
Neither team was able to score in the first period, but the Huskies broke the deadlock with a goal early in the second. As the period continued, the Huskies scored two more unanswered goals. In the third, the Dukes got on the board with their only goal of the night, before the Huskies scored twice more to extend their lead and win the game.
The Dukes are back in action on Sunday, to face the Aurora Tigers.
