The numbers are in for building in November in Quinte West.
Overall construction is down, but the total value of construction is up.
A total of 55 permits were issued, with a combined value of $28,715,000. In November of 2024, 86 permits were issued with a value of $15,373,000.
The value of the construction permits was boosted by one permit in particular, for an industrial site on Huff Avenue. That permit is for the Derry & Tomkin Business Centre, with a permit to construct a 140,000-square-foot building.
Of the 55 permits issued, 18 were for new residential construction, with a total value of $8,224,000.
So far this year, 536 permits have been issued for construction, with a combined value of $149,179,500. This is a slight decrease from this time in 2024, with 620 permits issued worth $184,021,500.
