One person is facing impaired driving charges after a head-on collision in Prince Edward County.
On Wednesday, shortly after 8 p.m., Prince Edward County OPP responded to reports of a head-on collision on Highway 62.
The investigation revealed that a passenger vehicle was travelling south when a northbound vehicle crossed the centre line and struck them head on. The driver of the southbound vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance.
Officers utilized an approved roadside alcohol screening device on the driver of the northbound vehicle. As a result, the individual was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.
Crystal Lepp, a 48-year-old from Brantford, was charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired over 80, and dangerous operation.
The accused was held pending a bail hearing. Her driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and vehicle was impounded.
