Four people from Quinte West are facing charges after police seized drugs and weapons.
In October, the OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit began an investigation into drug trafficking in the area.
As a result of that investigation, officers executed search warrants at residences on Catherine Street and Telephone Road.
During the searches, officers seized nearly 90 grams of suspected cocaine, as well as oxycodone. They also seized a prohibited firearm and ammunition, items associated with drug trafficking, and $250 in cash.
Joseph Cassibo, a 30-year-old, is facing charges of possession of a Schedule I substance for trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime under $5000. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Ashley Austin, 27 years old, was charged with failure to comply with a release order, possession of a Schedule I substance for trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime under $5000. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Patricia Arnold, a 39-year-old, was charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm.
Steven Auger, a 39-year-old, was charged with trafficking a Schedule I substance and unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm.
The remaining suspects were released on conditions, with a date set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
