The Providence Bruins defeated the Belleville Senators 6-3 on Saturday.
Lassi Thomson, Arthur Kaliyev, and Xavier Bourgault scored for the Senators.
The Bruins opened scoring in the first period before the Senators tied the game. With less than a minute on the clock, the Bruins scored a final first-period goal to take a lead into the second. In the second frame, the Bruins scored back-to-back unanswered goals to extend their lead. In the third, the Senators came back to score two goals, but the Bruins also scored two more to maintain their lead and win the game.
The teams are set to clash again this afternoon at CAA arena. The puck drops at 3 p.m.
