The 20th Operation Red Nose Quinte road safety campaign will officially begin tomorrow evening in the Belleville/Quinte region. Volunteer teams will be available to offer safe rides to those who choose a responsible way to get home during the holidays, all in good cheer. The service will be available until December 31, thanks to the mobilization of dedicated volunteers.
A Festive Kick-Off
Across the country, local teams are adding finishing touches to enable a smooth and welcoming service as soon as the first requests for rides come in. Operation Headquarters, field teams, dispatchers, and volunteers will work together to deliver a safe and friendly experience, true to the Operation Red Nose tradition.
In Ontario, the Northumberland and Quinte regions will once again join forces to ensure a stress-free ride home for motorists planning to celebrate this holiday season. A tradition of safety and solidarity since 1984, Operation Red Nose has contributed to making Canadian roads safer while supporting local youth and amateur sports initiatives. Across Canada, more than 2.4 million rides have been provided over the years, thanks to the involvement of 1.7 million volunteers and the generosity of the population. Local host organizations that operate the safe ride service fully reinvest the donations received in their community. As the holiday season begins, Operation Red Nose encourages everyone to always plan a safe ride home with care, responsibility, and solidarity.
