Gusting winds are causing power outages across much of the province but in the Quinte region the lights were working in most homes and businesses as of 7 a.m. Thursday.
There were a few small outages around Brighton, Rednersville Road and North Beach in the county, and the village of Hastings in Trent Hills.
Power is expected to be returned for those customers well before noon Thursday.

There was one large power outage, running from Colborne up to Roseneath in Northumberland County affecting 3,700 customers.

Province-wide Hydro One was dealing with 158 outages affecting over 11,000 customers.
