An 19-year-old male has been arrested after a child luring investigation.
In December 2024, members of the DRPS Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) began an investigation into an adult male communicating with a 13-year-old victim online.
The male sent sexually explicit messages and shared sexually explicit material with the victim.
On November 26, 2025, members from the DRPS ICE Unit executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at the suspect’s residence in Bowmanville and arrested the suspect without incident.
Police are concerned there may be other victims and would like to speak with anyone with information.
The accused operated under the username “stoymaso” on Discord.
Mason Stoyke, age 19 of Bowmanville, is charged with:
- Luring a Person Under the Age of 16 for the Purpose of Facilitating the Offence of Sexual Assault
- Luring a Person Under the Age of 16 for the Purpose of Facilitating the Offence of Sexual Interference
- Making Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Person Under 18 for the Purpose of Making Child Sexual Abuse
- Exploitation Material and Luring a Person Under the Age of 18 for the Purpose of Making Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
He was held for a bail hearing.
