The Fraser Institute released its annual report card on Ontario secondary schools Thursday morning.
The school rankings are based on Grade 9 math tests as well as general literacy tests from the 2023-24 school year, the results of which are all publicly available.
Among local high schools, Ecole Marc-Garneau scored the highest with a 7.7 score out of 10. The school ranked 119 out of 747.
St. Theresa Catholic Secondary ranked second with a 6.7 score while Nicholson Catholic College finished right behind it with a 6.6 score.
Tied with 5.7 scores (440/747) were Bayside, St. Paul, East Northumberland Secondary, and Centre Hastings schools.
Ranked last among local secondary schools was Trenton High School with just a two out of ten and 729 out of the 747 ranked.
Prince Edward Collegiate was second lowest with a 2.8 score.
