On November 24 at 10:30 p.m., Belleville police received a report of threats being made.
It was reported that three youths approached a male in a local park and one of the youths brandished a knife and made threatening comments.
Through investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect and advised him of the grounds for his arrest.
As a result, on November 25, a 16-year-old Belleville male whose identity cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested and charged with:

Uttering threats

Assault with a weapon

Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
He was held for a bail hearing.
