A new podcast is showcasing the local business community investment opportunities, and inspiring leaders in Quinte West.
Hosted by Economic Development Officer Luisa Sorrentino, ‘Invest in Quinte West’ is a monthly 30-minute podcast consisting of 12 episodes.
“We’re going to have local business leaders, we’re going to have interviews with key figures in economic development in the Quinte region, government officials, entrepreneurs and, you know, also people that are experts in certain sectors.”
The first episode has already launched and features Quinte West’s Director of Strategic Partnership and Community Services Jaclyn Grimmon and Linda Lisle, Manager of Economic Development and Tourism Services.
Episode 2 is out on December 11 and features Laurie Caouette, Economic and Business Advisor – Ontario Ministry of Rural Affairs.
Sorrentino says the episodes feature something for everyone.
“We try to make it relatable so that, you know, even if you’re not part of the economic development industry, you can get something from those conversations. And we really do hope to create some connection and some engagement in the community as well.”
The idea came to life with the addition of the Idea Box at Quinte West Public Library, a free space to record podcasts, voiceovers, and other creative audio projects.
“We have this existing beautiful facility with all the high-end, high-quality equipment that we need. So it’s just a great space to create, record and have these meaningful and informative conversations.”
The studio is free to use for valid Quinte West Public Library cardholders.
The ‘Invest in Quinte West’ podcasts can be accessed through Spotify, Apple podcasts and YouTube.
