Kingston Police have arrested two people in connection with a hit and run earlier this month that left a 19-year-old critically injured.
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Johnson Street near Albert Street on the night of Friday, November 7.
Investigation revealed the suspect vehicle may have been white Toyota Tundra.
Thanks to a tip from the public, the suspect vehicle was recovered on November 10th.
It had been abandoned along the side of a country road immediately off Perth Road in the area of Bedford Mills.
Early Thursday, Kingston Police executed two search warrants, arresting a 25-year-old female at a residence on Brock Street.
She was charged with Fail to Remain at the Scene of an Accident – Causing Bodily Harm, Obstruct Police and Fail to Comply with Probation.
A 52-year-old female was arrested at a residence in South Frontenac and charged with Public Mischief.
Police say the victim suffered major injuries, internal and otherwise.
Although their condition has stabilized, they have endured surgeries and will continue to be hospitalized.
