The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital (PECMH) Foundation is proud to announce a generous $10,000 donation from the Rogers family and Keint-he Winery and Vineyards.
Since 2007, the Rogers family and Keint-he Winery have been deeply rooted in Prince Edward County. The winery’s name, Keint-he, a historical reference to the original inhabitants of the region, is a tribute to the county’s heritage and a reflection of the family’s connection to the land and community. Known for their award-winning wines and commitment to sustainable winemaking, Keint-he Winery celebrates both the culture and spirit of Prince Edward County.
“It’s not just where we live, it’s our community,” said Bryan Rogers, co-owner of Keint-he Winery and Vineyards. “We support the celebration of Prince Edward County’s whole story, past, present and future. We live in a place where people show up and help each other. That’s a community worth celebrating and supporting. The new hospital will provide medical care for our families, friends and neighbours, and that’s important to all of us. There’s a long list of people and businesses in Prince Edward County that are contributing to the community, and we’re thrilled to be part of that list.”
The Rogers family’s gift will enhance patient care at the hospital through access to advanced medical equipment and technology.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Rogers family and Keint-he Winery for their generous gift and continued community leadership,” said Shannon Coull, executive director of the PECMH Foundation. “Their support ensures our Care Champions have the tools and technology they need to deliver the best possible care and strengthens our ability to build a stronger future for health care close to home.”
The PECMH Foundation remains committed to raising funds for essential equipment that enables exceptional care for patients and families in Prince Edward County, critical items that are not funded by the government.
Today’s announcement comes as communities across Canada mark National Philanthropy Day on November 15, a day to celebrate and recognize the generosity of those who make a difference through giving.
