Three people are facing charges in connection with a drug investigation in Picton.
The OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit began an investigation earlier this fall.
On Wednesday evening, the Crime Unit, assisted by OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team members, the Canine Unit and Prince Edward County OPP members, executed a search warrant at a residence on Evans Street.
Officers seized over 190 grams of suspected cocaine, 12 grams of suspected ecstasy (MDMA), and over $15,000 in cash.
They also seized items associated with drug trafficking and approximately $20,000 worth of jewellery.
Forty-year-old Trevor Hennessy and 22-year-old Brianna Skuffham-Connolly, both of Picton are charged with:
- Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts
- Possession of prohibited device or ammunition for dangerous purpose
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime
Hennessy is also charged with fail to comply with probation order.
Both were held pending a bail hearing.
Thirty-seven-year-old Brandon Wannamaker of Milford is charged with two counts of possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
He was released and will appear in court in Picton at a later date.
